Cirque du Soleil coming back in Mallorca in 2014
Dralion_mallorca
After the success of the Allegria show in Mallorca in August this year, Cirque du Soleil has decided to include once again Mallorca in its tour of 2014, this time with the show "Dralion".
Fusing the 3000 year-old tradition of Chinese acrobatic arts with the multidisciplinary approach of Cirque du Soleil, Dralion draws its inspiration from Eastern philosophy and its never-ending quest for harmony between humans and nature. The show's name is derived from its two emblematic creatures: the dragon, symbolizing the East, and the lion, symbolizing the West.
Dralion's costumes are vibrant in color - inspired by clothing from India, China, and Africa -and are shaped according to the movements of each performer's choreography. In total there are around 1500 wardrobe pieces for the show, taking into account that some artists have up to four costume changes during a single performance.
Cirque du Soleil will perform in the Palma Arena between August 28th and September 6th, 2014. Tickets are available on the website of Cirque du Soleil.
